LYSTURGIAN MYTHOS
PRIEST HIERARCHICAL TITLES

It is predominantly Mantaten peoples who worship Lysturge and his pantheon. They tend to prefer looser styles of leadership, and this is reflected in the structure of the church. While there is a hierarchy, decision making is done at the lowest possible level, and often not even reported to "higher ups" in another location. Questions of dogma and practice are decided on a local level (often by the Priest at hand), sometimes leading to major conflicts within the church as issues and debates escalate.

The list of titles and hierarchical names below thus denotes mostly a Priest's skill and ability to summon spells from their Diety. In effect, if the Diety has deemed a particular Priest worthy of receiving greater power than another Priest, then he/she must more worthy in the Diety's eye and thus worthy of a promotion to a higher rank or level. But as noted above, the degree of control or even influence a Priest at a higher level might have over a lower level Priest varies highly from Temple to Temple, Priest to Priest, and even from Diety to Diety (e.g. Lawfull Dieties will have more structure than less).
