Most intelligent races living on Seteria have a formalized Religion of some sort. These races usually have a pantheon
of Gods that they worship, and in return the worshipped God(s) usually grant their followers some protection, guidance
for their lives, and/or Magic. More importantly though, most Deities provide a final resting place for the
spirits of their faithful worshippers in the afterlife, a reward that most will work tirelessly towards. Virtually every
Humanoid and Demi-Human race has their own pantheon, while the Human races have several, often competing with one another
for converts and worshippers. In general though the pantheons split along racial lines.
- Mantaten
- These humans usually worship a pantheon known as the Lysturgian gods
- Sapoy
- These humans usually worship the oldest and smallest pantheon, known as the Andronese gods
- Ylthic
- These humans usually worship the largest pantheon, simply known as the Ylthic gods
- Burdue
- And these humans usually worship monotheistically and their god is called Ehthos
Most of us are devout and steadfast in our belief: Gods are real and "alive" all around us and their power is
manifest in visible and tangible ways every day. In this way worship takes on a meaning and immediacy that is not always
found on many other worlds. By way of comparison, readers may be amazed to learn that there are worlds where Gods, their magic,
and their minions' roles in everday life are not only uncommon, but even rare or disbelieved entirely.
