Details on usage of these fabrics and yarns in terms of design and fashion is found within
the details of each individual country profile.
- SCHEW
- WOOL: Large producer of good quality yarn & woolens, with enough for export.
- COTTON: Limited supply results in usage for internal requirements only.
- LINEN: Moderate supply of flax, but the linens are plain and simple in design.
- DRINEN FEDERATION
- WOOL: Produces moderate supply of fair quality yarn, but some of the woolens have intricate
designs based on family symbols: only the yarn is exported.
- COTTON: Large producer of fair to good quality (largely from the south), with some for export.
- LINEN: Flax is grown only in the north and north-west and creates a limited supply of good-quality
linens, most being used for internal use.
- ONUIN HOLDINGS
- WOOL: Produces virtually no wool due to a lack of demand (as they could raise more sheep).
- COTTON: Largest producer of cotton, of varying quality, with a lot exported.
- MAGEDOM OF DALMASK
- WOOL: Virtually no wool is produced at all (considered "heathen", lower class, and too hot)
- COTTON: Moderate production (Ard Bay area) for internal use only.
- SILK: Only exporter in Trishore -- stands of Mulberry trees are planted throughout the Goldenboughs Forest.
After internal demand has been met any remaining silk is available to the highest bidder for export.
- FIRE CLANS
- WOOL: Produces large quantity of fair to excellent wool (some sheep are kept largely for milk and produce
poorer quality wool), some of which is exported. They are Trishore's largest supplier of Felt, much of
which is exported, & produce fine wool carpets too. Woolen clothing is used in Fire Rites as well.
- COTTON: Limited supply is produced, noe of which is exported.
- LINEN: Flax is grown in north in small quantities, and used to make delicate linens which are rarely traded.
- ANDRON KINGDOM
- WOOL: Hardy sheep breeds and large grazing lands make this the largest producer of yarn and wool in Trishore,
mostly of good quality, with a lot exported.
- COTTON: A small supply is coaxed from the south, but not enough to meet internal demand.
- LINEN: A large producer of flax (for food as well as linens), and their beautiful designs are noted for their fine
detailed workmanship. Little is exported, but at high prices to great demand.
- LITHORINDINUM
- COTTON: Produces only a tiny amount of very fine quality cotton.
- SILK: Produces both tussah (wild) silk with silkworms fed on oak leaves and domesticated silk from the
silkworm fed on mulberry leaves. Not technically for export, some finds its way out of elvish lands
in the form of beautiful clothing given as a gift or in barter. No one can match the intricate patterns or
vivid colours of "Lith" silk.
- VAYETHIA
- WOOL: Some wild sheep are occasionally sheared for wool, providing a small supply almost entirely for internal use.
- COTTON: Produces a small supply of cotton-like fabric from a related plant which grows wild (6'-8' bush, perennial,
but lower quality than the usual annual cotton plant). A small amount is usually available for trade.
- SILK: Produces a moderate supply of tussah (wild) silk from silkworms fed on oak leaves: supply meets
internal demand, but is not exported.
- PHACOPS
- WOOL: The only regional producer/supplier of wool. Large quantities of generally poor quality, with plenty
for export.
- COTTON: Produces a small quantity of equally poor quality cotton, largely for internal use.
- LINEN: Grows a limited amount of flax to create a small supply of unremarkable linens, some of which winds up
as export.
