Most Human Sages put the start of their history at around 12,000 years ago. This is when the first stone-tool-equiped humans first began migrating into areas where Elves and others already lived. Where they were coming from not even the Sages are sure. These Human migrations involved both bitter warfare and peaceful gaining of knowledge from other races over this period. Thus, human advances in technology were quite rapid versus what is known to have happened on other worlds.
This Era is generally agreed to end about 5,100 years ago with the arrival of the Gypsy Queens.
