PRIEST DESCRIPTIONS



The charts below recap the details of the Priests and worshippers of the Andronese pantheon. There is also detail of their restrictions, expectations and responsibilities. The "Spheres" noted below refer groups of spells from which the Priests may choose and cast their spells. Major Access means that even the most powerful spells may be cast from that Sphere, while Minor Access means that only spells of up to a certain moderate potentcy may cast, even by the most powerful Priest.

    VESTMENTS Hooded drab olive green robes with very full sleeves, black trim and belt, and numerous pockets. Both ears pierced in numerous spots along outer edge, set with small gold studs & thin metal chains. Light tan leather sandals with straps bound around the calf and embroidered with vines & leaves.
    RESTRICTIONS INT of 12 or more. Must carry their copy of "The Histories" at all times, and without it may not cast any spells. Nimbus of glowing mist flows over Priest's body when casting any spell.
    HOLY SYMBOL Priest's own personalized copy of "The Histories", bound and maintained as best possible.
    SACRIFICE Books, Diaries and Scrolls (particularly magic ones) are given to a NPC Priest/Temple.

    VESTMENTS Pure white wool cloak worn over black tunic, with small white skull cap embroidered with gold thread. Pierce left earlobe once with silver earring set with ivory chip @ 1st. White linen wraps with fine black pattern as leggings under black boots.
    RESTRICTIONS Wear no Helm/Helmet (Head is A.C. 5 for called hits due to training/Divine intervention). STR of 13 or better. Remain Chaste & Celibate.
    HOLY SYMBOL Shield, Ring or Pendant; black, with a winding white road upon it.
    SACRIFICE Give all money and treasure to NPC Priest/Temple, ex. 4 magic items and only gold to buy necessities

    HOLY SYMBOL A small (3") solid Egg of Ash wood (1st-3rd), Marble (4th-6th), Ivory (7th-9th), Gold (10th-13th), or Platinum (14th+).

    VESTMENTS Brown wool Cape over a Red cotton Tunic, with Black wool pants with brown leather belt. Pierce left eyebrow with silver ring set with a small ruby @ 6th. Belt is decorated in gold & silver Hammers. Black leather boots with metal soles and silver hooks.
    RESTRICTIONS Must be touching Holy Symbol when Requesting spells or none will be granted (but may still cast spells without it if already granted). Remain Celebate. CON of 14 or better.
    HOLY SYMBOL A small gold or platinum Hammer, worn as a pendant or carried.
    SACRIFICE Magical Weapons and Magical Armor are the preferred items, and are cast into the sea or melted down. Better yet, if Priest owns a magic Hammer, sacrifices may be pounded into uselessness & presented to Temple.

    VESTMENTS In public, wear top quality clothes appropriate to the local area. During Services/praying wear blood red shoes and layers of brick red hooded robes and a black gauze mask covering the whole face.
    RESTRICTIONS Must be touching Holy Symbol in order for ANY spell to be cast. May not touch or contact the leaves or bark of living Oak or Ash trees.
    HOLY SYMBOL The Priest's single most valuable (monetarily) non-magical possession.
    SACRIFICE Wealth and treasure given to NPC Priest/Temple.
